1DATACOM

Description

This course covers data communication in general. Discussed the various transmission media and network topologies. The different modulation techniques to transmit data over an analog and a digital connection are explained. Multiplexing, routing and circuit switching are explained. The LAN and WAN concepts are discussed including some of these implementation options. The importance of a network architecture is discussed and there are several listed. Also, the first three layers of the SNA model discussed.
